- When will you introduce paid plans and start charging?The paid plans will be introduced in 2017. Price tiers will be low and even small organisations or teams will be able to afford. Until then the Free Plan has all the Pro features: the API and the open source code of our apps the way you like. The Starter Plan, which gives you perfect freedom to test, prototype and introduce the platform to your team or target group will always remain free to use. Plus: we will always remain ad-free and will not sell your data to anyone.
- How can I customize the native apps myself?You can pull the code of both apps (iOS and Android) anytime from our repository, compile your own apps, play around with it or customize it the way you like. The code is built in a modular way, which means you can use our backend module and easily focus on the user experience in the frontend. You can create amazing content based apps for your employees or customers within days. Focus on content and UX, the rest is ready to go out of the box.
- How can I control who can read what I am publishing?Our platform offers a user management system that gives you full control: you can invite other curators or just readers. You decide who can read and follow your content, your stories and news, which makes it a perfect platform for employee communication or other closed user groups where privacy is important. But on the basis of our API you can of course also create your very own app with your own design, easily with our open source code (SWIFT 3), available soon. We will notify you as soon as it is ready. It’s all up to you!
- What can I do with the API and the data?We provide a secure Restful-API that makes the integration in any other digital website or app very easy. It’s your content and data and we’re giving you full control over its distribution. You are free to go multichannel: use our native mobile apps and integrate all contents for instance, into your intranet or website, as a stream or as an overview page. Our approach is device and channel agnostic.
- What’s inside the Enterprise Plan and how much does it cost?The Enterprise Plan is the ultimate full service solution that takes away all the technical challenges from you. You get to create your very own app with your own design, the look and feel that you want, and don’t have to deal with app deployment or updates. - Does tchop provide any personal or technical support?The Free and Starter Plan offer basic email and knowledge base support. The Pro Plan offers priority email support and developer support for the set up of our native apps. For premium support contact us regarding the Enterprise Plan.
- What is the difference between tchop and other content management systems?Usually content management systems (CMS) are created around a dedicated output channel and are complex and expensive in set up and handling. A lot of people love content, but we don’t know many who like working the way traditional content management systems are built. We focus on efficiency, user experience and a device agnostic approach as we’ve built in most of the content models and logics which you, in other systems, have to develop and set up yourself.
